On Monday July 20, 2009 Mrs. Fredriqua Allen, Deaconess Vera Nugent and Pastor Kevin Llewellyn, interviewed ten candidates and their parents for the 2009 HOPE Fund Scholarships. The ten candidates consisted of eight girls and two boys.
The interview was also conducted on behalf of the Nueva Campbell Memorial Scholarship. The Campbell family specifically wanted a male candidate.
At the end of the interviews the following scholarship awards were confirmed.
The awards were disbursed on Sunday morning July 26, 2009, during the morning worship service. Mr. Richard Allen took digital pictures of the scholarship awardees so as to upload them to the Emmanuel Gospel Assembly web site.

The Nueva Campbell Scholarship Awards were presented by her daughter Miss Anika Campbell

 On Sunday, May 4, 2008 the EGA H.O.P.E. Fund was launched during the 10:30 a.m. service. The launch took the form of a brief introduction by Pastor Llewellyn followed by an outline of the general purpose, administration and funding which defines the implementation and future management of the fund. There was also an acknowledgement of the pioneering vision of the late Pastor Albert Karram and his sterling contribution to the building of churches and schools across Jamaica linked to the outstretched hand of Christ in St. Matthew 19:14 but Jesus said “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me, for of such is the kingdom of heaven” |
